<p>Attention Seniors:  The Athens AMVETS Post #76 Marilyn Dailey Memorial Scholarship has just arrived.  If you have a family member that is a member of an Athens County Auxiliary Post and you&#8217;re willing to write an essay, stop by the guidance office for the scholarship application The application must be submitted by June 18, 2012.</p>
<p>Attention Spanish Club and Spanish Honor Society Members:  Spanish Club is hosting a &#8220;Fiesta de Helado&#8221; Ice Cream Social on Wednesday May 16th after school.  Sign up until end of the day Friday in Mrs. Dunfee&#8217;s room, A107 to participate.  Come help us celebrate the new SHH members and the end of the school year!</p>
<p>Attention Juniors and Seniors:  Tickets for this year&#8217;s prom, &#8220;The Hour of Enchantment,&#8221; are now on sale during all lunch periods.  Tickets are $15 and will go on sale until May 11th.  Tickets MUST be bought in advance as they are not sold at the door.</p>
<p>For all students who will miss the Seniors this year, show it by purchasing a kiss goodbye with a Hershey&#8217;s Kiss and a personal message.  Freshman Student Council will be selling them each lunch period from May 2nd to May 15th, and delivering them May 16th and 17th.  Show your Seniors some love!</p>

<p>Rollerbowl Lanes is hosting AHS bowling night next Friday from 8:30-11:30 PM.  Juniors Michael France and Nick Baumgartel will be DJ-ing.  Tickets are $5 each for unlimited games and shoes; the first 50 people to arrive, bowl for free.  We will also be accepting donations for alumnus Chris Denhart&#8217;s project, to bring clean water to a developing nation.  This an AHS student event only, so bring your school ID.</p>
<p>Attention current freshmen, sophomores and juniors:  2012 Student Council election sign-ups begin Monday.  If you&#8217;d like to run for a class officer position, sign up in Mr. Dearing&#8217;s room A127.</p>
<p>Any student who is exhibiting an animal at the Athens County Fair and needs to take Quality Assurance Training, see Ms. Stalder in E107 this week to schedule a time to take the training. Thanks!</p>

<p>The Alliance:  This Thursday, &#8220;The Alliance&#8221; is meeting right after school in the cafeteria.  Please try to attend!</p>
<p>Pennies for Patients has begun!  This is the first week of the Pennies for Patients fundraiser sponsored by Student Council.  In the next two weeks of school, students can donate money to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society, the world&#8217;s largest nonprofit health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research.  The homeroom that raises the most money at the end of the two weeks will receive a pizza party.  Last year, AHS raised over $830 in Pennies for Patients.  Let&#8217;s try to beat that this year!</p>
<p>AHS Blood Drive will be on Wednesday April 11th.  Anyone who will be 17+ by that date must attend the Red Cross meeting Wednesday April 4th in the Auditorium during 4th period.  Any questions, please see Mr. Sager.</p>
<p>Seniors:  Only SIX skits have been turned in.  We need 114 MORE by April 12th.  Also, there is a Boy&#8217;s Dance Practice this Sunday at 6:30!  Senior Guys need to be there if you want to participate in the Boy&#8217;s Dance.  Practice is in the Atrium.</p>
<p>Attention Seniors and Juniors:  If you are planning on attending Prom Impact on April 13th, you must pick up a field trip form from Brenda in the Main Office and MUST return it to her by April 4th.  Bus space may be limited so please return as soon as possible.</p>
<p>Interact: Will be holding an important meeting after school this Wednesday March 28.  Please plan to attend!</p>
<p>AP test registration is now taking place in the guidance office.  Cost is $87 per exam and payment must be made at the time of registration.  THERE IS NO LATE REGISTRATION.  The last day to register for AP Testing is March 30.</p>
